It's that time of the year again where we turn our grief into purpose. It's Akanimo's 19th birthday and as usual, we are raising funds for childhood cancer research. WE believe that we will only conquer cancer when we know all there is to know about all facets of the disease. Thank you for being a part of the solution.

 

RUN4NIMO 2026 is our annual 5k run/walk held to commemorate  Akanimo's birthday, bringing families and friends together to support childhood cancer research as our way of working towards a world where no child dies of cancer.

 

 This is an extraordinary event and we thank you for sharing in it. 400 children are diagnosed with cancer each year ( that's only those diagnosed)  and late diagnosis is one of the core causes of bad outcomes. So this year, we are focused on putting this research funds towards our advocacy research on determining the overall preeminence of childhood cancer in the public consciousness in Nigeria.
